How to Catch Crayfish
First catch of the spring season!

They look like little lobsters and their pinchers can hurt you if you are not careful. Here’s how to catch and keep:
- They live in creeks, so look under rocks. It’s best to have your net or bucket in the same way the water is going so when you lift up the rock, the crayfish will swim right into your net.
- Crayfish need moving water to keep them alive, so just keeping them in a bucket will kill them in a day.
- It’s fun to watch them but better to let them go after a little while.
Watch out for the pinchers!
