Learn and Look Your Best with EcoTools

February 18, 2010

As a big fan of mineral makeup, a favorite find I came across last year when needing to replace my brushes was EcoTools.  Earth-friendly cosmetic brushes incorporating bamboo handles, recycled aluminum and taklon bristles – a synthetic versus a natural animal hair bristle.  Best of all, I didn’t need to order online, wait or spend an excessive amount for the product and shipping as EcoTools is available at neighborhood retailers like Target, Walgreens and Rite Aid for under $10.00.

With my original set of brushes still in great shape after a year of use, I was excited to hear that they were introducing a new bronzer brush ($9.99) and a new six piece eye brush set ($7.99).  I especially needed to try out the bronzer since I was still using an old brush but without the handle after it came loose. This brush has a full head of soft bristles and a nice thick solid bamboo handle to apply where the sun naturally hits your face.   And what I really like about the eye brushes are that each brush is printed with its name so I can remember what its specifically for and use it properly to get the look I want.

All brushes come in reusable pouches and are printed with non-toxic ink.  Several sets like my original set and the new eye brush set also come with a natural cotton and hemp case. And again, I’ve got to say the durability of the brushes have proven to be long-lasting with the handles in tact and no missing bristles.  The company also participates with 1% for the Planet.

EcoTools has also just launched several instructional videos featuring celebrity makeup artist Meredith Baraf to show you step-by-step how to apply your makeup to get the best results to include looks like “A cunning cat eye”, “A smokey sultry eye” and “A touched up face for day to night”.  Check out this one for a flawless face.  So learn and look your best while being kind to the environment and your budget too!
