Truly "Green" Gift Suggestions to Last a Lifetime

With just a few days before the Christmas holiday, I am thankful to be sitting in a warm home with my family and loyal dog having watched the snow fall during what may be our only snow of the winter season here in North Carolina.

My list has been checked off and I consider myself done.  I’ve tried to be as earth-friendly as possible by avoiding wrapping paper and using gift bags instead, to include more made of cloth this year.  I’ve made donations in lieu of an actual gift.  I’ve pondered the packaging involved before making the purchase and I’m ready to recycle all that I can afterwards.

Though I’m far from a perfectly “green” Christmas, here are some final gift suggestions for all of us to consider.  No production, shopping, shipping or packaging involved.  You can’t be any kinder to the environment around you than that…

To your enemy, forgiveness.

To an opponent, tolerance.

To a friend, your heart.

To a customer, service.

To all, charity.

To every child, a good example.

To yourself, respect.

So whatever it is you celebrate this season, I wish you joy and peace always to help make our world a brighter place forever.

Wow! Great stuff for sure! I thought I’d see if anyone has heard of real “GREEN” Gift Wrapping to go along with actual “GREEN” gifts.
