		<description>Some great ideas there! Using gift bags is an excellent alternative to wrapping paper. Seeing the huge piles of it at friends houses really irritates me because it is such a waste of paper (not to mention money).

I would also suggest buying a xmas decoration collection you can reuse year after year. Again, I know a few people who buy decorations every christmas, what a waste!

Alternative festive lighting would be another tip. Using either less xmas lights or low energy alternatives. Led lighting is an expensive option to start with but will pay for itself after a few years of use because of the low power consumption compared to halogen.
